About the Department:

Computer Science is the soul and psyche of many engineering branches. This field is instrumental in bringing the world to where it is today. The Department of Computer Science and Engineering was established in the year 2007 in this institution.  It offers B.Tech. CSE and M.Tech., CSE  courses to emphasize the field of computer science and information technology in the engineering domain. The institution is accredited by NAAC at A grade and permanently affiliated to JNTU, Kakinada and follows the regulation and curriculum stipulated by the university. The curriculum is so designed as to integrate theoretical and application skills in-depth to produce employable graduates. The department aims to provide the value-added services to the society. The focus is on holistic learning to help the students to make significant contributions at all levels and to meet the expectations of stakeholders. The department has undergone for NBA inspection during 19-01-2018 to 21-01-2018.

The Department provides students with the knowledge and skills essential to becoming a multi-skilled IT professional capable of contributing to a high level working areas spanning technology development. Graduates have a wide range of career paths open to them and could be employed in roles such as programmer, network application developer, project leader, process and client manager and IT educator. The quality of education thus provided is reflected in the campus placement record which is near 80 percent.

Program Educational Objectives (PEOs):

PEO1: Prepare graduates to have knowledge and competency for careers in and related to Computer science

PEO2: Prepare graduates to become leader in fields related to Computer Science.

PEO3: Prepare graduates to pursue higher education in Engineering or other Professional fields



Engineering Knowledge: Apply knowledge of mathematics and science, with fundamentals of Computer Science & Engineering to be able to solve complex engineering problems related to CSE.


Problem Analysis: Identify, Formulate, review research literature and analyze complex engineering problems related to CSE and reaching substantiated conclusions using first principles of mathematics, natural sciences and engineering sciences


Design/Development of solutions: Design solutions for complex engineering problems related to CSE and design system components or processes that meet the specified needs with appropriate consideration for the public health and safety and the cultural societal and environmental considerations


Conduct Investigations of Complex problems: Use research–based knowledge and research methods including design of experiments, analysis and interpretation of data, and synthesis of the information to provide valid conclusions.


Modern Tool Usage: Create, Select and apply appropriate techniques, resources and modern engineering and IT tools including prediction and modeling to computer science related complex engineering activities with an understanding of the limitations


The Engineer  and Society: Apply Reasoning informed by the contextual knowledge to assess societal, health, safety, legal and cultural issues and the consequent responsibilities relevant to the CSE professional engineering practice


Environment and Sustainability: Understand the impact of the CSE professional engineering solutions in societal and environmental contexts and demonstrate the knowledge of, and need for sustainable development


Ethics: Apply Ethical Principles and commit to professional ethics and responsibilities and norms of the engineering practice


Individual and Team Work: Function effectively as an individual and as a member or leader in diverse teams and in multidisciplinary Settings


Communication: Communicate effectively on complex engineering activities with the engineering community and with society at large such as able to comprehend and with write effective reports and design documentation, make effective presentations and give and receive clear instructions.


Project  Management  and Finance: Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the engineering management principles and apply these to one’s own work, as a member and leader in a team, to manage projects and in multi-disciplinary environments


Life-Long Learning:  Recognize the need for and have the preparation and ability to engage in independent and life-long learning the broadest context of technological change



PSO1: Foundation of mathematical concepts: To use mathematical methodologies to crack problem using suitable mathematical analysis, data structure and suitable algorithm.

PSO2: Foundation of Computer System: the ability to interpret the fundamental concepts and methodology of computer systems. Students can understand the functionality of hardware and software aspects of computer systems.

PSO3: Foundations of Software development: the ability to grasp the software development lifecycle and methodologies of software systems. Possess competent skills and knowledge of software design process. Familiarity and practical proficiency with a broad area of programming concepts and provide new ideas and innovations towards research.
